Customer and Sales Support Engineer

Based in San Diego, CorTechs Labs is a growing developer of medical device software that is recognized as an innovator in the field of medical imaging.  At CorTechs Labs we develop and market cutting-edge brain imaging software solutions that aid the diagnosis of brain disorders and are used by neurologists and radiologists in hundreds of clinics and research centers around the world.

CorTechs Labs is seeking candidates for a Sales and Customer Support Engineer position to strengthen their European operations. The successful candidate will work closely with leading Neurologists, Neuroscientists, Radiologists and IT/PACS engineers on the implementation, sales and support of our intelligent medical image analysis software products. This position is home based but manages customers all over the world with an emphasis on Europe. A very independent and flexible work attitude is required with a focus on customer satisfaction. Due to the international character of our customers, flexible work hours are required with a willingness to start early in the morning for our Asian or work later in the evening for our American customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support customers in installation, integration and, use of our medical imaging solutions
  • Support our Sales organization to address all technical issues during the sales process. Organize, set up and manage trial accounts to support sales.
  • Do site surveys and install proprietary medical device software at customer sites (hospitals and independent medical imaging centers) and integrate into their existing IT environment and workflow.
  • In collaboration with the sales team, educate potential customers on operation and integration of proprietary medical devices.
  • Install and integrate systems into client environments either remotely or on site.
  • Train new and existing users in system operations in-person or remotely as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelors degree or equivalent, preferably biomedical.
  • Experience with radiology work-flow and PACS.
  • Experience in Medical sales or sales support
  • Understanding of Medical Imaging Technologies (Eg: PACS, DICOM, HL7, MRI, CT)
  • Experience with web-based and cloud-based software applications.
  • Experience with general system administration (software package installation, Bash scripting and database operations)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, positive customer service skills, problem-solving skills and writing skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
  • Technical writing skills and experience is a plus.
  • Expertise in OS X and Linux administration is a plus.
  • Web development skills are a plus.
  • Prior experience with software deployment in an FDA-regulated environment is a plus.

CorTechs Labs, Inc. is seeking an Office Operations Administrator to provide high-level coordination and support across a diverse set of corporate functions. Responsibilities include:

Sales and Support Assistance:

  • Prepare pre-billing worksheets for monthly invoices.
  • Prepare and send monthly volume usage reports to customers.
  • Record monthly volume usage details in SalesForce.
  • Assist Sales and Support Departments with site installation coordination.
  • Assist Sales and Support Departments with travel arrangements.
  • Aid Sales and Support personnel with the completion of expense reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Accounting Assistance:

  • Open mail and record incoming payments and make copies of all checks.
  • Prepare pre-billing worksheets for monthly invoices.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly invoices.
  • Prepare customer statements and assist with the collection of delinquent accounts.
  • Resolve billing disputes, credit holds, and credit card authorizations and process credit card transactions
  • Request and process W9 forms from new vendors and maintain vendor records.
  • Review vendor invoices by establishing and maintaining a Purchase Order log and code them for payment with the appropriate G/L account number.

Office Operations:

  • Provide support for the Regulatory department to document training, quality system updates, employee files, vendor files, etc.
  • Answer CorTechs Labs, Inc. main telephone line and route calls to the appropriate department or individual. Responsible for general email inbox – answer or redirect to appropriate personnel.
  • Collect, sort, and distribute mail.
  • Maintain stock of office supplies and order when necessary.
  • Place weekly employee welfare orders to include groceries, paper goods, etc.
  • Provide support for all employee activities to include organizing company events including catering and clean up.

Position Requirements:

  • Possess strong organizational/time management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Deadline oriented with the ability to multi-task focusing on thoroughness and quality results.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are an absolute requirement.
  • Must be able to interact professionally with all internal and external stakeholders to include management personnel, employees, vendors, customers, etc.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding all corporate matters. The person hired will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong bookkeeping skills to include a thorough understanding of the G/L, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Must have proficient skills in MS Office, especially Excel (Intermediate or better user), QuickBooks, and SalesForce.

Minimum 5 years’ experience with a preference for candidates who hold a minimum of an associate’s degree. Compensation depends on the personal credentials, competence, relevant work experience, and other qualifications. This position will report directly to the Corporate Controller. Skills testing will be administered to finalist candidate(s) to include bookkeeping, spelling, grammar, and MS Office. Background and reference checks will also be conducted for finalist candidate(s).
